House of cards

Moments
Leaning against moments.
Placed tenderly.
To strike balances.

Happinesses
against sadnesses.

Gratitude
against hurt.

Strengths
against weaknesses.

Growing
Sadder, sorrier, weaker
With time.

We were built
To be blown away
By the softest gust of wind.

Built to collapse.
Like a glorious house of cards.
That took pride in its fragility.

Good one! Each positive attribute has a strong sometimes painful bottom line. Only we dont take pride in our fragility.

Very beautifully written.I know many times, it seems this way, we get swayed with changes, but it is within our power to crumble or hold on......

[Bhushan] Thanks!
[Adi] No, every card in the house of cards needs to strike the balance and hold on. Even if one lacks resolve, you crumble. So it is not always in our power, we depend on others too. we can only do our bit and hope for the best...

Sometimes, some cards need to be removed from the pack for the rest to remain...

Sometimes cards are held together but in their own tiny groups, add another tilted one and they crumble...

I have read this plenty of times, and I have found it more and more brilliant each time I read it.

"Built to collapse.
Like a glorious house of cards.
That took pride in its fragility."

absolutely awesome!!

i came, read, didn't commented...
then again did same..
not coz it wasn't awesome. it is awesome with its pessimistic realism...
but it would better as...
"Growing
Sadder, sorrier, weaker

We were built
To be blown away
By the softest gust of time."

sorry for tempering but can't resist.... :)
