I feel like a grain of sand
By the sea shore.
So dry, so empty, so porous inside.
So lifeless.
Amidst the surging waves
That rush through me
Trying to fill me with life.
In vain.
Dreaming of
Being able to soar across the skies
Or sailing past the ocean.
Into eternity. Just once.
By the sea shore.
So dry, so empty, so porous inside.
So lifeless.
Amidst the surging waves
That rush through me
Trying to fill me with life.
In vain.
Dreaming of
Being able to soar across the skies
Or sailing past the ocean.
Into eternity. Just once.

Remember, a grain of sand if trapped in an oyster changes into a pearl!
Some things only get done after constant trying. But it does work out, if we persist long enough.
I would really want to agree with what you said, but I can't. There are some things that I cannot achieve/acquire. howsoever hard I try. Because it is not just your effort that matters, but also someone else's judgment of your effort.
The earlier I accept the realities, the earlier I would recover.
Nits... loved your email so much that I think I should post it here for everyone else to read....
===========
went to your blog... after i sent you the mail
and saw you latest :( I feel what you feel, but I'd wish you'd feel otherwise. I've been goign to a mindfulness based meditation class, where I heard this:
Right effort is detailed in four types of endeavours that rank in ascending order of perfection: 1. to prevent the arising of unarisen unwholesome states, 2. to abandon unwholesome states that have already arisen, 3. to arouse wholesome states that have not yet arisen, and 4. to maintain and perfect wholesome states already arisen.
This I heard in the context of putting in the effort to nurture your thoughts. Just wanted to share it with you. Because it is a simple prescription that can bring a smile when I realise what it is I need to do about a current thought, at the least, even if I don't put in the effort to do it :)
I am learning a bit about myself in the process...
Also, here is another lens I have for you to consider seeing with:
I feel like a grain of sand
By the sea shore.
Still, snug and just myself.
A glorious view.
Then the surging waves
Rush through me
Disturbing the calm.
A storm.
But being me, I can
absorb. And let go.
While all the world only clings.
Freedom.
I can feel myself
Be myself.
Know myself.
Comfort.
Seeing what is.
Doing what it takes.
Being.
In my eternity. I am.
As is the other. In hers.

Don't know, but it is a nice feeling to just be :)

Touched Taps, that you thought this share-worthy :)
(But now, I should be more careful about my mails it seems :) All the typos are glaring at me!)
